The Maritime Center is fully occupied business center by well-known multinational companies such as Amdocs, U-TX, TUI and local companies PrimeTel, F&S Insurance and Logica.

2010

Francoudi & Stephanou becomes one of the main shareholder of the Limassol Marina Ltd, a company in charge of design, construction and management of Limassol Marina, the first superyacht marina on the island, one of the most attractive and unique projects across Europe.

2006

Expansion in the Telecommunications and Mobile sector through participation in PrimeTel PLC.

2000

The Group expands into financial services, offering a variety of flexible products and services, based on innovative security technology.

1996

Strategic partnership developed between Aeolos and Touristic Union International (TUI).

1994

The Group expands into the Development sector through Logica Developments Ltd; the company in charge of the construction and management of The Maritime Center Business Center, located next to the new Limassol port.

1994

Further expansion towards the travel, tourism and hotel industry, by purchasing all Aeolos shares.

1990

Expansion in the duty-free market through a strategic partnership with Seamarket Ltd – The Freeshops

1986

The Company is appointed as handling agents for all East Med Transhipments for ScanDutch, making the Limassol port the base of transhipments for ScanDutch operations in the Far East and Eastern Mediterranean region.

1983

Revival of the Company’s involvement in the hotel and hospitality industry through the construction of Capo Bay Hotel at Fig Tree Bay, in Protaras.

1980

Creation of privately owned licensed plant for local alcoholic beverage bottling.

1975

Establishment of Kirzis-Stephanou Container Terminal and Bonded Warehousing, in partnership with G. Kirzis & Co. Ltd.

1974 - 1980

Formation of partnerships resulting in activity expansion of: haulage, port daily transportation operations, container repairing/refurbishing, management and accounting services, computer software and hardware, automated office equipment and related services.

1974

The Company is displaced as a result of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. It resumes operations in Larnaca initially, only to later relocate to Limassol.

1970

The Company is the first to bring the necessary equipment for the handling and transportation of containers while training its personnel to operate the first ever container terminal at Famagusta port.

1968

Diversification in the sightseeing operations sector, transfer of passengers and self-drive cars with the ownership of SETRA coaches.

1963

Diversification towards the hotel business. Leasing of the Savoy Hotel for Vingresor while the Esperia Tower Hotel and Salaminia Tower Hotel are built and managed by F&S in Famagusta.

1960

Diversification to travel and tourism. The Company buys 75% in Federate Agencies Ltd, trading as Aeolos Cyprus Travel Bureau, while also expanding its insurance business through the representation of Sun by Aeolos.

1956 - 1958

Extension of Famagusta port. Trade begins to develop rapidly in Cyprus and shipping operations grow with an increase in imports, and exports as citrus becomes a main local commodity.

1951

The Company expands shipping operations through partnerships with companies in the same field, including Scandinavian Near East Agency (Cyprus) Ltd.

1930

Diversification to imports. F&S begins importing White Horse whisky.

1910

F&S enters the Insurance industry, as agents and brokers.

1904

Inauguration of Famagusta port by the ‘Cyprian Prince’ under Frangoudi & Stephanou Agency. The shipping business evolves into port operations.

1895

First established in Famagusta. The Company’s main business is Shipping, clearing and forwarding and insurance.
